01. ABOUT RECIPES

A Jowar Wrap is a healthy Indian wrap made using jowar (sorghum) flour to make the roti or pancake base, filled with vegetables, paneer, sprouts, or grilled protein. Jowar is gluten-free, high in fiber, and a rich source of antioxidants, making it a nutritious alternative to wheat wraps.

02.INGREDIENTS

  • Jowar (sorghum) flour – 40g
  • Hot water – to knead
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Tofu (firm, cubed) – 60g
  • Cabbage (shredded) – 25g
  • Carrot (grated) – 20g
  • Onion – 15g (sliced)
  • Garlic – 1 clove (minced)



  • Green chilli – optional
  • Black pepper – to taste
  • Salt – to taste
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp
  • Oil – 1 tsp (for stir-frying)
  • Fresh coriander – a few leaves
  • Mint chutney or hung curd – 1 tbsp (10–15g)

04. INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Mix jowar flour with salt and hot water to form soft dough.
  • Roll or pat into a flat roti between sheets or using your hands.
  • Roast on hot tawa without oil until both sides are cooked.
  • Heat 1 tsp oil, sauté garlic and onions.
  • Add cabbage, carrot, tofu cubes. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes.
  • Season with salt, pepper, lemon juice.
  • Place the jowar roti on a flat surface.
  • Spread chutney or curd (optional).
  • Add sautéed tofu-veg mixture in centre.
  • Roll tightly and serve warm.
