01. ABOUT RECIPES

Onion Dosa is a flavourful South Indian crepe made from a fermented batter of rice and urad dal, enhanced with finely chopped onions and green chillies. 02.INGREDIENTS

  • Raw rice – 25 g
  • Urad dal – 6 g
  • Onion (finely chopped) – 15 g
  • Green chilli – 2 g



  • Oil – 3 g (about ½ tsp)
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water – as needed for batter

04. INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Soak rice and urad dal separately for 4–6 hours.
  • Grind into a smooth batter, mix well with salt, and ferment overnight.
  • Chop onions and green chillies finely.
  • Heat a dosa pan, pour a ladle of batter, spread thin, and sprinkle onions & green chillies evenly.
  • Drizzle oil on the edges and cook until crisp and golden.
  • Serve hot with chutney or Sambar.
