01. ABOUT RECIPES

Rava Dosa is a popular South Indian crepe made from semolina (rava/Sooji), rice flour, and curd, flavoured with onions, green chillies, and cumin seeds. Unlike traditional dosa, it does not require fermentation and can be prepared quickly. Thin, crispy, and aromatic, Rava Dosa is a flavourful breakfast or snack option that pairs well with coconut chutney or Sambar.

02.INGREDIENTS

  • Semolina (Rava / Sooji) – 40 g
  • Rice flour – 20 g
  • Curd – 10 g
  • Onion (finely chopped) – 5 g
  • Green chilli – 1 g



  • Cumin seeds – 1 g
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water – as needed
  • Oil – 3 g (for cooking)

04. INSTRUCTIONS:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine semolina, rice flour, curd, cumin seeds, chopped onion, and green chilli.
  • Add salt and water to make a thin batter (rava dosa batter is watery).
  • Let it rest for about 15–20 minutes.
  • Heat a non-stick tawa and pour the batter from a height in a circular motion to form a thin, lacy dosa.
  • Drizzle a little oil around the edges.
  • Cook until crisp and golden brown on one side
