01. ABOUT RECIPES

A Moong Dhal Chilla Wrap is a healthy Indian vegetarian wrap made using Moong dal (split yellow lentils) batter cooked like a thin pancake, filled with vegetables and rolled into a wrap. It’s high in protein, fiber, and low in fat—a perfect healthy meal or snack.

02.INGREDIENTS

  • Yellow Moong dal (split & skinned) – 50g (soaked 3–4 hrs.)
  • Ginger – ½ inch
  • Green chilli – 1 small (optional)
  • Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water – as needed (for grinding into batter)
  • Oil – 1 tsp (for cooking)



  • Cabbage (shredded) – 20g
  • Carrot (grated) – 20g
  • Onion (thinly sliced) – 10g
  • Cucumber – 15g
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp
  • Black salt or chat masala – a pinch
  • Mint chutney or yogurt dip – 1 tbsp (optional – 15g)

04. INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Blend soaked Moong dal with ginger, green chilli, cumin, and salt into a smooth batter.
  • Add water as needed for pouring consistency.
  • Heat a non-stick pan. Pour batter and spread like a dosa.
  • Cook both sides with minimal oil until golden.
  • Toss cabbage, carrot, onion, and cucumber with lemon juice and seasoning.
  • Place chilla on a plate.
  • Add salad filling and drizzle with chutney/yogurt dip.
  • Roll tightly and serve warm.
